To play with the directfb demos, you need to turn off the OSD (curacao):
config_tool -c LAUNCH_CURACAO=no reboot
or
killall curacao
Then, source the dfb environment:
source /etc/dfb.env df_demo-name
Demos are in /usr/local/bin
